PCHS Class of '60 50th Reunion Committee Meets

On Sunday, April 25Th, 2010, the committee met at the home of Alice Spivey in Elizabeth City.

Classmates attending were Carlton, C.D., Carolyn, Dorothy, Brenda, and Pat. We accomplished quite a bit, assigning committees for each of the 3 days, deciding on the menu and price, dress, hosts of ceremonies, discussed entertainment, memorial, class gift and memory displays. We decided to invite the classes of 1959 and 1961 to the reception on Friday night. A letter will go out by the end of June with all the details. Those who have furnished e-mail addresses will receive their letter by computer and the others will get theirs by US Mail. After taking care of business, we enjoyed some delicious refreshments. Those Winfall classmates had too much fun talking, laughing and imitating their grammar grade teachers!! Take note Hertford classmates will need to come up with some funny experiences to top them. If you'll notice, I(Pat) was outnumbered 5 to 1.

The next planning meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 22nd, at the home of C.D. and Joanne at 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Their address is 101 Smith Cove Road, Hertford, NC 27944. We hope some more of you will be able to attend. We have a great time!

It's a Small, Small World!

Alice, Brenda and I went to The Onley Place dinner theater on Saturday night. Much to our surprise, Dorothy Ann was there with a friend and Arlene and her sister, Janice, also were there for the dinner and show. We had fun reminiscing. You never know who you will see where! The Onley Place is out in the "woods" from Belvidere. All the locals have heard of it. It is a very neat place with great food and entertainment. Pictured are Dorothy, Pat, Brenda, and Arlene.

Hi Classmates,

The time is drawing near for us to get serious about planning our 50th reunion. We have survived a cold winter and now we must get to work. I know it's not reasonable for some of you who live far away to attend our upcoming committee planning meeting but I do hope some of you who live near Hertford will consider coming. As a reminder, it will be Sunday, April 25, at the home of Alice Spivey (Brenda's sister) at 605 W. Colonial Avenue, Elizabeth City at 2:00 p.m. Please let Brenda or me know if you will be able to attend or just respond to this e-mail.

Our 40th reunion was so much fun for everyone and I want this to be just as memorable. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please send them to me before April 25th.

Our next planning meeting is scheduled for May 23rd.
